End of Role as Full Time Student..

My full time student life kinda ended on 8 May 2009 along with my last paper.

Applied for conversion to part time studies and have since been accepted, I applied for credit control officer position in Citibank via Wayne. During my exams, I was called up for interview. It was very much a first of many things for me.. Sending resume, going for interviews.

First interview was damn long la... Met Gail and Cassandra and was grilled for an hour. Screwed up when I was asked 'where do u see yourself in 1 year's time if u got this job?' I honestly was not treating it very seriously and tot of it as a 'filler' for my part time final sem. SO... I stupidly said would like to venture other departmentsblike operations or investments. My interviewer shot back ' we are definitely not looking for ppl who treat this position as a stepping stone to other departments or to tide over the recession period.' :O Damn stunned I was.

I then asked of the career prospects within the department and explained my myopic view of the department. And I was explained the various career advancement opportunities and such. Gail did me a great favour by asking me again how do I see myself in future. According to Wayne, Cassandra almost gave up on me already. Luckily Gail asked me again. That was the biggest U-turn I had ever made.

After an hour I thought it was over but was handed over to the manager for another 30 min.

Heng I got to siam the interview with the director who somehow approved my resume without interviewing me. Haha.
So, I was eventually given an offer I think is attractive enough and I started work TEN bloody short days after my 2 months battle with my dear RMIT.

In between I converted my room into a more spacious one by chucking my 10 year old ginormous desk, had a 3 night chalet, painted my room, settled my Pru clients' documentation and err meeting NBK to tender my resignation.

Training this week has so far been kinda boring. Yesterday and today are sit in observation and is boring all of us to tears. And that is exactly why I have the time to actually blog now on my Froth.

As it turned out, my peers had went thru at least 3 interviews each and were longer than my 1.5 hours. And hmm surprisingly, my basic is slightly higher than the rest. :P happy boy I am.
